Frequently Asked Questions for Services at the nCenter

nCenter Counseling Services in Montana
  • nCenter’s counseling services are confidential, which means that we cannot release any information about you except under certain legally prescribed conditions. Please discuss the legally prescribed conditions with your counselor.

  • Talking with friends is a great way to get support, but it’s not the same as counseling services at our Montana locations. Counselors are professionals with specialized training in helping people encountering difficulties in their lives.

The counselors at our Montana clinics can also provide an “outside,” objective perspective different from what your friends can provide. When you talk with one of our MT counselors, you won’t have to worry about being a ‘downer’ or that your friends will treat you differently simply because you came to them with a problem. nCenter counselors are professionals whose job is to help you. In time, our Montana counselors hope to help you feel more comfortable being open about your problems. The more comfortable you are with your therapist or counselor, the more effective your counseling services will be.

  • Our staff includes a Clinical Psychologist, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors. We also have masters-level counselors and social workers who work under supervision with a licensed counselor or social worker.

Our psychotherapists offer a broad range of counseling services, interests, approaches, backgrounds, and perspectives.

Our Assistant Director will work with you to arrange an appropriate therapist/client match. Learn more about nCenter’s staff by going to our Meet The Team web page.

  • Yes! The nCenter will send you text reminders about your appointment.

  • Please contact us at (406) 599-2492 to find out your cost!

Each client’s out-of-pocket cost for counseling or therapy will depend on their individual insurance company and plan. It’s important to determine your cost, depending on your insurance policy, before beginning your counseling services with the nCenter. We can help you with this process, so please let our Assistant Director know of any financial questions or concerns when you speak with him.

  • Our team of psychotherapists and neurofeedback practitioners at the nCenter work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples.

  • Your Montana therapist will work with you to identify your personal goals for counseling before tailoring their counseling to you and your goals. We’re happy to meet with you at our Montana counseling clinic or to provide online counseling—if you prefer.

You can expect that our therapists will listen closely to understand your experience and then find ways to assist you in moving toward your goals. Therapy is a personalized experience, so how it helps differs from person to person. It will often involve getting a different perspective on your experiences, exploring and discovering things about yourself, making changes in unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving, processing difficult experiences, and learning healthy coping tools.

  • We can typically see you for therapy virtually or in person at the Montana clinic closest to you within a week after your initial meeting with the nCenter Assistant Director.
